Love this place been going there for 6 years now as soon as I call the restaurant she recognizes my voice and knows what I want and even better at recommending food to me. Should definitely give it a try
They were very friendly. The pork friend rice was good. I ordered the fried scallops but I don't know if it was because they put it together with the fried rice it was soft and soggy. I recommend getting the fried scallops on the side.
Have been ordering from Ho Ho Garden for a little over two years now and the quality and consistency of the food is always on point. I typically order veggie and shrimp dishes (steamed with sauce on the side), the dishes are always cooked perfectly and the sauces are never salty but still packed with flavor. The food is always piping hot whenever I've picked up and ordered delivery. HIGHLY suggest their home style bean curd and their fried green plantains (they fry it way better than Dominican spots )
We must have tried about 10 different chinese takeout places on rockaway blvd, crossbay blvd, and liberty ave over the years, in search of the elusive best fried chicken wing. Glad to say we finally found it at Ho Ho Garden. Wings are crispy, flavorful, and decently sized...meaning they're not oversized man wings. Entrees are decent as well, but not on a superstar level as their wings.
Not the fanciest place but if you don't care and just want good Chinese food at an affordable price, this is the place to go in Queens. Very fresh. I got the shrimp with black bean sauce and hot and sour soup. Both were very delicious. Oh, they also do free delivery for orders over $12 which is cool.
Shopping drained me today, and the time for a snack was two lines ago. I saw Ho Ho Garden, so i walked in. A polite last acknowledged me while she dealt with a phone order with an obvious "impaired" individual. After she hung up, she directed all her attention to me and took my order. Yayyyy a nice counter person. Thai tea (yes, Thai tea!) And a shrimp roll. The staff looks pretty relaxed and it seems they prepare the food carefully (fingers crossed). The roll is real!!!! It's homemade and so is the tea! The skin/wrap isn't thick and doughy it's light and crisp like real egg rolls are! The tea is super sweet but it too is deliciously authentic. I will be back for some local hoodinese goodness!
